Milwaukee's General Mitchell International remained closed down to flights through noon CT today after a deluge of rain left some of the airport's runways under standing water. More than a half ft of rain fell in the Milwaukee area on Th, causing widespread flooding throughout the city.

On its website, the airport tied the closure to "flooding on the airfield and roadways leading to the airport," according to Reuters. The airport advised "travelers should contact their airlines before heading to the airport to determine the status of their flights and make alternative arrangements if needed."

World's biggest captive jellyfish given to aquarium

A giant Lion's Mane jellyfish found by a fisherman is claimed to be the biggest captive jellyfish in the Earth.

The jellyfish has a fourteen inch diameter bell and pink tentacles.

It was given to The Deep aquarium in Hull after it was found off the East Yorkshire coast.

Deep aquarist Tom Rowe said: ''We were delighted to receive this wonderful animal. It's the first time I've seen a Lion's Mane in the region and it is by far the largest jellyfish ever displayed at The Deep. As far we know its the largest jellyfish in captivity.''

The largest Lion's Mane ever recorded was washed up in Massachusetts Bay in 1870, with a bell over 7ft in diameter and tentacles longer than 120ft.

These jellyfish are the largest known species in the world and are usually found in cold waters such as the Arctic, North Atlantic and North Pacific. They are cannibals and feed on other jellyfish such as moon jellies.

Mr Rowe said that despite a small tear in its bell, which the team will keep an eye on, the jellyfish is very active and thriving in its new home.

The sea creature will be on public display by the weekend.

"She was watching her favorite show, Jeopardy, when the phone rang," her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt says. "She reached over to pick it up and fell." He called an ambulance and she was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

The actress is partially paralyzed from a 2002 car accident, which forced her to use a wheelchair. She also had a stroke in 2005.

3.6 Magnitude Earthquake in Maryland, July 16

Residents of Maryland were alerted today after a 3.6 magnitude Earthquake hit the area near Gaithesburg. According to the USGS National Earthquake Information Center, the earthquake took place shortly after 5 am, and had its center 20 miles northwest of Washington.

Although the magnitude is way lower than the magnitude of recent earthquakes around the World, it is still a major event in the area. Since 1974 there hasn’t been a stronger and largest earthquake. The maximum magnitude reached since that year was 3.0.

The earth movement was felt in Maryland, Washington, and other states such as West Virginia, Delaware and Virginia.

Residents in the area report hearing a loud nose, sign of the earthquake.

“Occasionally these things do happen even east of the Rockies, even though it’s not really on a plate boundary where we expect earthquakes… Faults do exist from when the continent was forming. There are small faults that do exist within this area,” said Amy Vaughan, a USGS geophysicist.

Luckily there are zero reports on injured people and damaged buildings. Given the magnitude of the quake, it would be pretty rare to hear about damages.

Bob Sheppard, the iconic Yankee Stadium public address announcer whose impeccable introductions of the stars from Joe DiMaggio to Derek Jeter earned him the nickname "The Voice of God," has died. He was believed to be 99.

The Yankees didn't immediately release additional details but were to do later in the day, team spokesman Jason Zillo said Sunday.

Sheppard started with the Yankees in 1951 and he last worked at Yankee stadium late in the 2007 season, when he became ill with a bronchial infection. He recorded a greeting to fans that was played at the original ballpark's final game in September 2008, and his audio recording still is used to introduce Jeter before each at-bat at home by the Yankees captain.

When the team moved into new Yankee Stadium last year, it honored him by naming the media dining room after him.

While Sheppard didn't like to give his age, a former Yankees official had confirmed in 2006 that Sheppard was born Oct. 12, 1910.

The Yankees' lineup for Sheppard's first game on April 17, 1951, included DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Johnny Mize, Yogi Berra, and Phil Rizzuto. And the opponents that day, the Boston Red Sox, were led by Ted Williams.

Sheppard became as much as a fixture in the Bronx ballpark as the familiar white stadium facade or Monument Park, tucked behind the blue outfield wall.

In May 2000, after 50 years and two weeks on the job, the team honored him with "Bob Sheppard Day" and put a plaque in his honor in Monument Park. Fans gave Sheppard a standing ovation, and legendary news anchor Walter Cronkite read the inscription. Berra, Reggie Jackson and Don Larsen were among those who stood on the field during the ceremonies.

"The voice of Yankee Stadium," read the plaque. "For half a century, he has welcomed generations of fans with his trademark greeting, 'Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Yankee Stadium.'"

He also served as the stadium voice of the NFL's New York Giants from 1956-05, and for men's basketball and football at St. John's, where he taught. But baseball is what made him famous.

He announced at 62 World Series games and a pair of All-Star games, and introduced more than 70 Hall of Famers across his career. It was one of them, Jackson, who dubbed Sheppard "The Voice of God."

His player introductions remained consistent throughout the decades, with Sheppard imbuing each name and number with a gravitas more befitting a coronation than a ballpark: "No. 7. Mickey Mantle. No. 7." Or even "No. 58. Dooley Womack. No. 58."

All along, Cliff Lee has seemed destined to go to the Yankees. Lee, the All-Star left-hander, is eligible for free agency after this season, and the Yankees’ deep budget would give them a major advantage in signing him. But Lee, it turns out, might be joining the Yankees much sooner.

The Yankees and the Mariners have made progress toward a Lee trade, according to an official involved in the talks, who added that the final decision is now up to the Mariners. The official was granted anonymity because the deal has not been completed. Joel Sherman of the New York Post broke the story, reporting that the Yankees’ trade package would include catcher Jesus Montero and infielder David Adams.

Lee is scheduled to pitch against the Yankees at Safeco Field on Friday night, so a deal could be finalized quickly. Lee would give the Yankees four All-Stars in their starting rotation, joining C.C. Sabathia, Andy Pettitte and Phil Hughes. It would also free the Yankees to trade another starter – presumably Javier Vazquez – for offense or bullpen help before the July 31 nonwaiver trading deadline.

Lee, who won the 2008 A.L. Cy Young Award for Cleveland, beat the Yankees twice in the 2009 World Series, when he pitched for Philadelphia, and also won the first game at the new Yankee Stadium last season. He is 8-3 with a 2.34 earned run average this season, with 89 strikeouts and just six walks.

For now, the Yankees are leaning toward keeping Vazquez, which would allow them to slide Hughes to the bullpen as he approaches his innings limit and protect them against an injury to another starter. But trading for Lee gives them options. Vazquez can be a free agent after the season, and he would be an attractive rental, especially for a team in the National League, where he pitched so well last season for Atlanta.

The Yankees have been averse to trading young talent for soon-to-be free agents in recent seasons, passing on a trade for Johan Santana in Dec. 2007 and for Sabathia during the 2008 season. But the circumstances are different now, because of the Yankees’ depth at catcher and second base.

Even without Montero, the Yankees have a stable of highly regarded young catchers including Francisco Cervelli, Austin Romine and Gary Sanchez. They also have Robinson Cano to play second base for years.

The Yankees would also hope to have Lee around for years. Lee, who turns 32 next month, is unlikely to sign a contract extension before the off-season. But he is friends with Sabathia and Burnett and has seemed very comfortable at Yankee Stadium. And, of course, the Yankees will probably make him an overwhelming contract offer to stay.

The Margaret Sanger took birth in Corning, New York State on Sept 14, 1879. She had an 11 brothers and sisters. Well, her mother got 18 pregnancies. A few of her infants passed away in early childhood and because of this many pregnancies, she died due to T.B. and disease called cervical cancer. Margaret Sanger was a superb lady. She gave advance ideas in her era.

She initiated and generalized the conception of very birth control in U.S.A. Margaret Sanger was as well a beginner of the very Birth Control League (BPL).

Margaret Sanger was very much inspired from her dad. As her father had as well wonderful ideas in his time. She was on 6th place among the 11th siblings. So, she had to do a lot of house tasks and she as well played a great role in bringing up her other young brothers and sisters. She began her education in a boarding school whose name was Claverack

College, but unfortunately she had left her education in a mid and came back home. As her mom was very ill and she had to take care of her.

She married and had her 1st baby in the yr 1903. She got T.B. as her mom also had. Her house was as well burned in some accident. She afterwards moved to New York and started to do work in the very Manhattan slum area. She faced a lot of things in her life and finally she got separation from her hubby.

If you missed last year's 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus', a.k.a. Heath Ledger's last movie, you missed one of the most enchanting performances ever by rising British star Andrew Garfield. He played the elfish Anton, one of the Doctor's performers, who helped rescue Ledger's character from certain death while hanging from a bridge and brought him into a ragtag group of traveling gypsies. One look at Garfield and I was in love.

The magic was real - customers were literally taken through the imagination of Dr. Parnassus by stepping through a makeshift mirror into their own imaginations, into real-life dreams that would make Walt Disney himself cry tears of joy. Anton's job (and later Ledger's) was to reel customers in, to seduce them with stories about the 1000-year-old Dr..Parnassus, of making their dreams come true.

Garfield played Anton with a sincere honesty and unyielding sense of duty, until he discovers the truth of it all. Which might describe his transition from relatively unknown British actor to all-American Blockbuster hero. But let's hope for the best.
