Michael Jackson A Place With No Name

A previously unreleased song recorded by the late Michael Jackson, titled “A Place with No Name” has been leaked via TMZ on Thursday, three weeks after the death of the “King of Pop.” Nobody seems to known where and when Michael Jackson recorded ‘A Place With No Name’, but when he died, Jackson reportedly left 200 unreleased songs for his children to financially benefit from. Since Jackson’s death, at the age of 50 from apparent cardiac arrest, sales of his music worldwide have soared.

The lyrics and the tune are very similar to the 1971 hit ballad “A Horse with No Name,” a No. 1 hit single for the group America in 1971.

“The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael’s fans to hear,” Jim Morey, America’s current manager, told TMZ.

Morey was also Jackson’s manager in the late 1980s and early 1990s, according to TMZ.
Here is America’s “A Horse with No Name,” to compare with:

The snippet is nice, but at 25 seconds long you can’t be swayed to one extreme or the other. It’s definitely worth checkin’ out tho considering it is Michael Jackson tho. Down below is predominantly R&B as The-Dream’s demo for Jamie Foxx’s “Rainman” hits the web.

Videos include video premieres from Chrisette Michele & Raphael Saadiq as well as Fabolous and The-Dream. Some thoughts on the video premieres… 1. “What You Do” was my jam back in the late spring/early summer. I just really dug the vibe and the video does it justice.

The video illustrates Michele at a piano with the beautiful nighttime skyline of New York City in the background while also telling the story of the lyrics in between. Not exactly the most groundbreaking idea for a video but it was at least well-executed. Raphael Saadiq’s video features 20 dancers in a throwback ode to old-school Hollywood musicals. More facts about the video are down below. Enjoy!
