Maria Shriver

Maria Owings Shriver 54 is wife of California's Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. She is from Kennedy family. She got introduced to Schwarzenegger in 1977 and they both got married in 1986. Maria Shriver is caught talking on the cell phone while driving on the road. First appeared two pictures of “First Lady of California” as violating the law – that mandates the drivers to use hands free device to attend or make the calls while driving the vehicle.

The crux of the matter is that the law is signed by Arnold Schwarzenegger himself and has been quoted as saying that if her daughter breaks the law “she’ll be taking the bus.” Later a video was also posted in which Maria Shriver is listening to a cell phone while driving a SUV.

As the images and videos were made public, California Governor thanked for pointing out the violation and promised a quick action. Later it was made clear by the spokesman of the Governor that the lady would be warned only.

Some 150,000 cases have been reported by Highway Police since the law has come into effect and the figure does not include the violators caught by local police. As per the law a violator who breaks the law for the first time would be fined with $93 and $201 for next violation in the area where Schwarzenegger’s are living. If Maria Shriver is held accountable, she should pay some $300.

Maria Shriver’s office was contacted to have her view of the incident; however the office refused to comment.
