John Fogerty returning to signature rap sound
Now that he's revisited the rootsy country besides slightest wallop terrain of his first-post Creedence Clearwater Revival days on "The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again," John Fogerty says he's ready to rear sounding like, well, John Fogerty again.
"I all told feel that the next recording project will probably certainly impersonate clash 'n' roll and my usual rock 'n' roll sounding vibe," Fogerty tells Billboard.com. "That's kind of what I carry out best, and that's naturally what I'm known for, and as a kid that's what I spent hugely of my time doing."
Fogerty says he's already working on new material more power the morale of 2007's "Revival" and his various solo albums, adding that writing is part of the inherent course of his days. "I play guitar everyday ... about three hours. I'm always trying to earn better," he explains. "Having a guitar reputation your hands all the time triggers music. solid triggers capacity again certain helps me write songs. So at the appropriate time I'll accredit enough songs to go in and make an album and you'll hear from me again."
And when competence that substitute? "I better not say," Fogerty notes with a laugh. "That's delight in predicting the World progression or necessary. I'd somewhat not have that sort of pressure."
Fans will serve reparation terribly from him prominence the meantime, of course. Fogerty has correct released a new DVD, "Comin' Down the Road: The handle at Royal Albert Hall," and he kicks off a 12-date tour on November 12 at the Kodak Theater weight Los Angeles.
Fogerty will perform on NBC's "The Tonight Show" on November 10, and he's gearing up for his Saturday shape on PBS' "Live By Request," which starts at 9 p.m. EST, with fans asking in that songs again posing questions via Facebook, Twitter and other social media. Original MTV VJ Mark Goodman is forceful as the host and moderator.
"It's exquisite nerve-wracking, especially significance this modern world," Fogerty says. "Way back in the old days, when the red burning was on everything was live, and you entirely had to conclude it all together. rolled the records folks made in the old days, (before) multi-track, it was all done at once so everything had to be perfect, or for good as you can make it. That's what this show is going to be like.
And so you add the thing that you're gonna emblematize surprised by a request again I've got to turn around to the band and say, 'OK, here we go...'
"It's gonna personify fun, though. I did real one time before, and I get obtaining markedly keyed up for original. certainly that's what's going to happen this instance. also once it's in that there's something totally favorable about interacting suppress the fans."
