Bridesmaid Dresses
When a woman is invited to be part of a wedding party, the 1st thing that usually goes through her mind is, “What do the bridesmaid dresses look like?”
The second question usually is, “How much are the bridesmaid dresses?”
All women want to be part of their best friends’ bridal parties, but the cost of purchasing a dress on top of the wedding gift that they're obligated to give, can be a bit of a downer.
More and more women are trying to find discounts on their bridesmaid dress, but it is hard to find the exact dress online sometimes. Lately a large number of women are flocking to Amazon in order to buy the dress that they need.

Sharktopus
“You have just unleashed an eight-legged, man-eating shark on this world!” shouted a Navy official in Sharktopus, a new high in the SyFy channel’s low-budget arguments for the impending implosion of 21st-century culture.
Sharktopus did everything a Saturday-night junk TV-movie should: Within the first 3 minutes, we got a good look at the half-shark, half-octopus slither-biting it is way through the ocean. Pretty soon, bikini-clad women and idiot males in phallic powerboats were being ensnared by tentacles and than chomped into bloody bits.
The creature was created by Dr. Sands, a research scientist played by Eric Roberts, the only actor alive who can list The Dark Knight, Star eighty and Sharktopus on his resume. Roberts’ Dr. Sands referred to his damp creation by its science-experiment name, S-11 (I’d hate to see how sad S’s 1 through 10 were), and noted that it would be his meal-ticket: “the Navy’s next super-weapon… a hunter [turned] killer.”
Somewhere around that time, my favorite scene of the night occurred: an attractive couple decide to bungee-jump over the water, and, timing his attack on a downward bounce, Sharktopus rose up and swallowed the girl as though she was a potato chip with breast implants.
The movie was co-produced by legendary schlock-master Roger Corman, who had a silent cameo as a grizzled old man witnessing Sharktopus slide a tentacle ashore to snag the ankle of a pretty girl strolling along the beach. Corman stared with suitable blankness as the young woman dragged her fingers across the sand before disappearing into the red-rimmed tide. Sure, the special-effects were cheap, but the monster moved with a nice swiftness and there was a lot of variety in his killing methods. Sharktopus even managed to slit Roberts’ throat with one delicate flick of a tentacle.
The film, directed by Declan O’Brien (his credits include Wrong Turn 3), solved the basic problem in making your ordinary octopus a scary creature: in real life, an octopus has the creepy tentacles, but it does not have much of a face on which to focus your fright. But add a razor-toothed shark’s head to this octo-mom, and you have got one mean mother.
Roberts knew what he had signed on for, and to his credit, maintained that fine line between playing it straight and hamming it up. He said things like, “Greatness comes at a price — it always has!” with both hubristic emotion and a poker face.
That was shortly after he said, “Wait — first bring me a great big enormous Scotch.”

Blue Bloods
"Blue Bloods" is the latest cop drama on television, debuting Friday (September. 24) on CBS. It stars Tom Selleck as Frank Reagan, the Chief of Police in New York City, and Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan and Will Estes as his 3 childrens. The 2 sons are cops, the daughter is an Assistant DA.
We enjoyed the premiere. The tension between Danny (Wahlberg) and Erin (Moynahan), him a hot-head cop who does things his own way, which may not always be on the right side of the law, and her a lawyer whose job it's to uphold the law, creates an interesting family dynamic.

Salons
More than twenty models trusted their luxurious locks to seasoned professionals Tues night as part of the second annual Hair Ball, a fundraiser for the Community Foundation of West Georgia.
Six salons from Carrollton and Villa Rica participated, creating atypical hairstyles showcasing the talents of local stylists. A mixture of hairdos were on display throughout the nighttime as the models, with hair piled through and around a variety of hair pieces, walked around the show at Sunset Hills Country Club.
Jamie Best, owner and stylist at J. Best Hair Co., said she participated last year with a different salon.
“It is a good cause and it gets our name out there,” she said. “Everyone does well. There’s a lot of talent in the area.”
She said the event lets her try fun and creative styles not often seen.
The winning hair style was crafted by Hannah Sanders of Indulge. Her design featured twigs extending from both sides of the model’s head and flowers and butterflies pinned into the hair.
The event raised about $3,000 for the Power of the Purse, a women’s charitable group which assists non-profit organizations in their efforts to help women and children.
The $4,000 raised at last year’s event was donated to the Darkness to Light’s Stewards of babies and the Legacy Council, said Stacy Copeland, organizer of the Hair Ball and owner of Indulge Salon and Day Spa, one of the event sponsors.
“We decided to start it as something fun to do to raise money for charity,” Copeland said. “We didn’t expect this response.”
Kim Jones, president of Community Foundation of West Georgia, said the beneficiaries of the event came out of research on under-served areas in the community.
Darkness to Light, a Carrollton Presbyterian Church program, is a non-profit group focused on teaching adults to recognize sexually abused children, said Jill Hesterlee, one of the programs facilitators.
“We’re new to the community and it is very neat that people already think it is important to support us,” she said.
Thanks to funding from Hair Ball proceeds, The Legacy Council, a program focused on helping girls at Mt. Zion High School, will be able to start offering services, said Liz McDill, director.
“The goal is to help them become self-sufficient professional women after high school,” she said.
She plans to organize mentors, find girls who will benefit from the program and match the 2 groups.
Cheryl Steed, a member of Power of the Purse, was one of the 150 in attendance at Tues night’s event.
“I have enjoyed it,” she said. “It’s fun and it is for a good purpose.”

Herriman Utah
Herriman Utah has turned into hell as the place is full of fire and the fire fighters are having a really tough time while trying to put off the fire. The fire is so big that the smell of the fire has spread in an area of more than 25 miles. The smoke has also spread in a big area and the people are having problems while breathing.
It has been reported that about 14 hundred homes have been evacuated in areas close to Herriman Utah. The Herriman High School has become a shelter for the homeless people and they’re praying that their houses would be saved form the fire. The police authorities have asked the people outside the area not to use cellular phones so that the communication systems remain active in the affected areas. A number of buildings have been burned due to the fires and people are being rushed out of the area before they’re caught up in the massive fire. The rescue teams are working really efficiently as they’re going from door to door in order to help out the people that are stuck and need to be evacuated.
The people of Herriman Utah shall remember this Sept as a month that brought a really horrifying fire. The area that the fire has covered is very big and although there are a lot of rescue teams present at the spot but still it feels like there’s a need for more fire fighters.
Colts vs Giants 2010
The National Football League Season gets on it is way towards the Climax and all the teams are playing with a lot of confidence and enthusiasm. The players of the NY Giants and the Indianapolis Colts played with honor but unfortunately the Giants were defeated by the Colts on a score of 38-14 which gave a huge victory to the Colts.
All the layers of Colts especially Peyton Manning were very happy on their victory. The match between these 2 teams became a big source of entertainment for the people and thousands of people had come to watch this match in the Lucas Oil Stadium. The 1st half was all in the favor of the Indianapolis Colts as the score after the 1st half was only 24-0.
The Colts vs. Giants 2010 match seemed to be one sided as the Giants were unable to score a lot of points during the whole match. The people who were unable to watch this match live can see it on the internet as well as the highlights on the TV sports channels.
