The wedding taking place at 30 Rock today, July 15, 2009, is the tenth in the "TODAY Throws A Wedding" series on the popular NBC morning show, The TODAY Show.
Wearing a stunning viewer-chosen Christos wedding dress, bride Leigh Daniels was escorted down the aisle by her father, as she stepped up to marry her groom, Nick Cordes. The couple, who met in a running club, have been watching viewers vote for their wedding attire, honeymoon destination, wedding theme and more, in a sort of choose-your-own-adventure format.
In a ceremony officiated by Leigh's grandfather, the two were married in a religious wedding ceremony in front of millions of TODAY Show viewers and a handful of close family and friends. After the groom professed his love in his own words, the bride tearfully recited something a friend told her, that "there is no perfect people out there, but there is someone perfect for you," while promising to love Nick unconditionally.
